The Epics were formed around 1964 and were together until the spring of 1968. The original memebers were:

Derek Clement - rhythm guitar
Dennis Davies - drums
Rudy Sandor - lead guitar
Grant Scott - bass

Guy Marchi was with the band as a trumpet player for a short time in 1965.

Towards the end of 1965 Rob Young replaced Rudy Sandor on lead guitar.

In late 1966 Erik Birkland was added on keyboards.

NOTE: - There are a couple of mistakes in the above article.
1. The actual winner of the Nelson Battle of the Bands was the Ambassadors from Creston.
2. That should be Rudy (not Randy) Sandor.
