Kimberley - The Lost Dawg Singers have found a temporary home. It's in the B.C.'Pavilion at Expo 86 in Vancouver. The popular group from the East Kootenay will perform at the Plaza of Nations amphitheatre three times a day from July 20 to July 26 as part of B.C.'s showcase of local talent.

The Lost Dawgs, named for a heavily wooded canyon near Kimberley in which many a hunter has lost his way, have been entertaining Kimberley since 1955, specializing in old favorites. They have a steady list of engagements, some as far ahead as 1988.
Three of the singers are Cominconians: George "Haggis" Williams, retired Public Relations Representative at Kimberley, sings and plays a homemade double bass. They practice weekly at Frank Goodwin's home. He's the banjo player and former General Manager of Kimberley Operations. Doug Rausch, currently working as an operator at the Kimberley Fertilizer Operations, is guitarist.
