Lilac band
Lilac was a trio that was together in 1973 - 74.

Doug Rausch - guitar, Ron Olsen - keyboards and Rick Rausch - drums.

The days of shiny shirts and 15 minute setups. Ron Olson could play anything - from waltzes to schottisches to country, rock and roll, name it. Some songs I remember were In The Mood, Roll Out The Barrel, Knock 3 Times, Sweet City Woman, plus every 3 chord 50's and 60's songs you could imagine.

My favourite gig was the winterfest of 1974. The oompah band was snowed in and couldn't make it, so we played for about 2000 people. We were powered by Bill Baerg's equipment. They tried to shut us down at midnight, but the crowd started to throw beer bottles, so we carried on. That was the last time they sold bottles...go figure
